On the 21st August, it was a very fine evening, and the country boys were out to play. Ranging from veterans S McCurry and Scott “I don’t know what a blog is” McGlone, to first timers Tom “Eaglehawk4lyf” Harrington, Kell “Swanny” Smith, Tim “Hotbox Master” Hicks and Isaac “I’m Sexy and I Know It” McCrimmon. It was a good turn out for GME, which has been struggling in recent times.

The venue was chosen by yours truly, and it was chosen for one reason – QUANTITY, my favourite word. Sofia’s Restaurant Camberwell was the choice, and everyone was pretty pleased when his or her (in Fish’s case) meals came out.
A great choice of venue I must say. The meals were extremely large, almost as big as Shane’s head. It was great to have the company of Echuca Football Club’s favourite son at Sofia’s, he’s beloved and sacred place where he spent a lot of his Res life. Height went by the name of “Master Kristan” from staff for most of the night. One thing’s for sure, the service was better than Height’s haircut at the last GME.
Speaking of the last GME, there was no hot curry on the menu this time; the hottest thing of the night was Scoota’s sharp suit. Meanwhile when Jonesy was too busy ‘Tindering’ (for you single lads out there here is the link – http://www.gotinder.com) the new comers were made to order a gelato each, but pussied out and shared instead.
In conclusion, I give Camberwell Sofia’s an 8.5 out of 10, deducting 2 points for the late service of my meal. For a place that was sued for food health and safety issues (rumour has it cockroaches in meals were served), it did deliver on this occasion and every one went home eating more than they should of. Including McCrimmon, who managed to plaster the Deakin Residences toilet when he got home.
